When are counselling sessions available?

Sessions are available weekdays between 8am and 7pm.  Each session is 50 minutes long and will generally take place at the same day and time each week.

What can I expect from therapy?

When you enter my therapy room, in person or remotely, you can be sure of a place of safety and confidentiality, acceptance and understanding, a space that is yours to explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels right for you.

When you join therapy as a couple you may find that, as well as working on the relationship, there are things you want to explore about yourself.  For this reason, I offer individual sessions, within the couple work, to allow you both a deeper exploration of what is going on for you.

Is therapy confidential?

I hold information about each of my clients, and the services they receive, in confidence.  However, there are exceptional cases, for example, if I believe you or another person are at serious risk of harm, or to prevent a miscarriage of justice, when I might ethically, or legally have to give information to relevant authorities. My Confidentiality Agreement is available on request.

I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for Data Protection and I protect your personal information in accordance with their guidelines. My Privacy Policy is available on request.

Where do sessions take place?

I offer sessions in person, online and by phone, depending on your needs and personal choice.  You may decide the in-the-room experience of counselling is for you, or you may find that the ease of access of on-line counselling is a better fit for your needs and life-style.  I like to remain flexibile and understand that a mix works best for some.

In person counselling sessions take place at the Consulting Centre,

348 Poole Road, Branksome BH12 1AW.

On-line counselling sessions are held on Zoom, which provides secure,

end-to-end encryption.  You will receive a link to join the session before

the scheduled start time.

Counselling sessions are also available by phone.

How much do you charge for therapy?

Sessions are charged at £95 each.

How do I book?

Please use the form at the bottom of the page, or click on the ‘Get In Touch’ button above.  My contact details are listed so you can choose to complete the form or call me direct.  I aim to get back to all enquiries the same day.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Life happens, and sometimes you may find you need to cancel or rearrange a session.  There is no charge where a minimum of 24 hrs notice is given.  Sessions cancelled within this period are chargeable.

I understand that you may feel uncertain about whether therapy is for you.  I am happy to answer any questions you have, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

How do I know whether you are the right therapist for me?

If you are curious about whether I am the right therapist for you, why not pick up the phone, or use the link below, to get in touch?  I offer a free, no obligation, phone consultation to allow you to understand more about me and how I work.  This consultation also allows me to get an understanding of what you are bringing to counselling and to decide if I am the best person, or service, to support you.  If I am not the right therapist for you at this time, I will help you to access the support that is.
