One of the few things in life we can be sure of is change. It can happen over time or it can hit us out of the blue. We can find ourselves embracing or resisting change, we can take it in our stride, or find ourselves struggling to cope.

There are times when change brings high emotion and distress, confusion and loss. We may feel overwhelmed emotionally, mentally and even physically, swamped by unpleasant feelings, disrupted sleep patterns, changes to our appetite and lack of motivation. In times of conflict, it can be difficult to communicate effectively, to feel heard and move things forward.
